Danish Wind Export facilitates three peer to peer groups, each focusing on its chosen export market:
- UNITED STATES
Each group holds 3–4 meetings a year, one of which is typically held abroad on the market in question.
The meetings in Denmark are held at members’ premises, usually in the period 09:00–14:00. Each meeting is facilitated by a member of the Danish Wind Export staff.
Each peer to peer group has 8–20 members. Membership does not exclude subsequent inclusion of new members from competing businesses.
Membership is personal.
DKK 6,500 per year
for the first member from a company
DKK 1,000 per year
for an extra member from the same company (max. 1)
The group members are CEOs, export managers, service managers and key personnel from other departments with an interest in the area in question. The peer to peer groups are intended for both onshore and offshore wind energy companies which either have – or are looking to establish – a foothold on the relevant export market.
The export ambitions of the individual members of the peer to peer groups may, for example, encompass
– Direct exports
– Establishment of subsidiaries, sales offices, production capacity
– Familiarity with the market
– Legal conditions on the market
– Sales processes
– Cultural insight
– Recruitment and retention of labour
Unity and synergy
Exchanging experience and having the opportunity to discuss various topics gives group members the chance to help one another improve their understanding of the market. Participants can thus pick up the tools they need to achieve optimal execution of their market strategy
To become a member of a peer to peer group under Danish Wind Export, your company must be a member of either Wind Denmark or the Danish Export Association.
